EPPIC Web front end
EPPIC (Evolutionary protein protein interface classifier, Duarte et al, 2012) is a method to computationally assess the nature (biological or crystal contact) of protein-protein interfaces in crystal structures. It does so by using three criteria, two sequence entropy-based evolutionary ones and a geometric one, which are then combined into a “bio” or “xtal” call for each interface in a crystal. The main use of EPPIC is to aid interpretation of biomacromolecular structures and to guide experiments to probe protein-protein interfaces.
